Get emergency medical insurance when the Government of Canada has issued an advisory to avoid non-essential or all travel to your destination before your departure date.
All plans require each insured traveller to be at least 30 days of age, live in Canada, and be covered under a government health insurance plan (GHIP) for the entire trip. Youth plans also require travellers to be under age 30.
Family and companion rates require all travellers to be named on the same policy and travel together.
Family coverage is calculated as a multiple of the oldest traveller's individual rate.
Some plans offer reduced premiums when your trip is entirely within Canada.
