Time spent outside Canada cannot exceed 30 days per policy, or 49% of your total coverage days — whichever is less
Trips to your home country are not covered under this provision
What if I exceed the side-trip limit?
Coverage is suspended — not cancelled — for the remainder of the side trip beyond the allowed limit. Your policy's expiry date does not change, and coverage automatically resumes once you return to Canada.
